Billing Clerk

Downtown Fort Worth firm is seeking a Billing Clerk to review AR reports, make corrections to invoices and documents..  Ideal candidate will be punctual and reliable; possess excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to prioritize, effectively and accurately complete tasks in a timely manner.  Must be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint as well as time and billing and document management programs.  Willingness and desire to pitch in where needed.  Must be able to accurately type 60+ WPM. Hours 8:30 – 5:00 and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare client invoices from attorney’s and/or client’s special billing instructions
  • Prepare client statements, research billing inquiries
  • Review AR reports; enter AR write-offs as instructed
  • Accurately enter/post daily deposit into time and billing system
  • Interface and post client expenses to time and billing system
  • Print and distribute attorney’s monthly pre-bill
  • Perform conflict of interest checks
  • Enter new client/matter files in time and billing system
  • Maintain client and billing information
  • Maintain standard and negotiated billing rates
  • Close time and billing month end and balance to General Ledger
  • Backup receptionist – Ability to welcome/greet clients in a courteous and polite manner. Answer calls promptly
