IT Trainer - Dallas
The selected individual will be responsible for analyzing training needs, designing, planning, coordinating and directing firm-wide systems training programs. In addition, provide desk support for new and upgraded software applications, work closely with team members to ensure all technology services are delivered successfully. This person will be involved with all project roll-outs, and will have responsibility during the deployment and planning phases for new software tools. The trainer will participate in project management meetings in preparation of technology roll-outs. Travel to other office locations may be required.
Collaborate with team members to accomplish the following:
Develop online training courses and self-study exercises as required to supplement classroom training
Assist in and receive cross training in all support applications
Coordinate a comprehensive IT training plan for all users in the firm, based on business needs, assessment of skills and application conversion and implementation plans
Assess, design, plan and implement all IT training, firm-wide
Develop a detailed communication plan to promote training within the firm
Schedule firm training curriculum and deliver view classroom, one-on-one, eLearning, webinars and various distance learning techniques for all staff
Facilitate IT training by training, monitoring, coaching and coordinating internal resources or external vendors engaged in training delivery.  Also conduct training programs as appropriate
Serve on IT project and conversion teams as the training representative, managing the training aspect of any IT project or conversion
Travel to conduct training as necessary in other offices
Implement a skills assessment program to gauge technology usage levels and determine GAP conditions
Consults with end users to assist with PC, laptop, and PDA related tasks
Provide subject matter expertise on identified applications/programs based on knowledge, certification and experience with designated applications/programs
Requirements:
Five years PC-related training experience required, prefer training experience in a law firm environment
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, education or related field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills
Thorough understanding of training techniques on Microsoft Office applications (certification preferred)
Familiarity with VBA and XML scripting a plus
Familiarity with web-based application a plus
Prefer experience with Document Management applications and familiarity with legal document processing, legal terminology and legal procedures
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. EOE
Excellent working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office 2003 in a law firm environment
Exposure to Microsoft Office 2007 or experience in its implementation would be an asset
Experience in AccuRoute, digital dictation and Summation would also be assets

Network Administrator - Dallas
Experienced network administrator position for large downtown law firm will be responsible for server administration at all firm locations. Some of the responsibilities include: Build and configure servers, integrate applications and ensure that the network functions properly. Resolve system bugs and develop work-arounds for existing bugs in network software. Manage firm-wide computer anti-virus program, serve as the primary individual responsible for providing internal level-three support for computer systems used by the firm. Above all, conveys a professional image dedicated to helping the firm maximize the benefits of its communications and computer systems. Must have strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work well with a variety of people with extensive knowledge of Windows OS Servers, desktop, laptop and peripheral communications and computer systems used by the firm. Advanced computer skills with an in-depth understanding of standard desktop hardware and software as used in a windows-based operating system environment. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines while under pressure.
Responsibilities Include:
Maintain, update, manage and ensure integrity (naming, addressing, replication, etc.) of all firm network servers including but not limited to email, file, application, remote access and specialty servicers (such as CD-ROM or Intranet) and associates software, anti-virus and work station updates
Administer network systems including developing logon procedures and roaming profiles, remote distribution of system updates, adding/removing users, implementing system securities and permissions.
Maintain network software including firm standard and practice applications, dial-up services, and document management system users groups.
Administer network client systems policies, software and operating system updates, anti-virus signature file distribution and serve as lead technician for developing client desktop/laptop images
Respond to trouble calls and help desk referrals, update associates databases and follow up as appropriate
Establish and conduct backup procedures of firm network servers and restoration of user documents/files as needed
Perform routine and periodic maintenance on firm servers as required to support day-to-day operations including low-level device driver upgrades and Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) updates
Coordinate repairs that cannot be resolved in-house with appropriate third party maintenance or technician support in accordance with established maintenance/support agreements

Legal Applications/CLD Support Specialist - Houston
This corporate client is seeking a legal applications/CLD support specialist for its corporate law department software and training, as well as for providing on-site corporate legal desktop (CLD) support. This position will act as a law department liaison to the information technology department and will coordinate CLD support functions with users, IT department and the corporate technical support team.
Experience Should Include:
Bachelor's degree in a computer or technology related field, MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent certification or experience.
Technical skills should include SQL development experience in SQL server or Oracle databases, ability to install/configure applications in a Windows (2000, 2003) network environment, enterprise web application development/support, and experience with Visual Basic, Visual Studio, Microsoft Reporting Services, XML, NET, IIS, COM+ applications.
On-the-job legal experience in software applications including technical skills necessary to operate and support a small data-processing operation, including knowledge of hardware, operating systems, spreadsheets, databases, word processors, and communications packages.  MOS 2003 certification preferred.
